Nanimarquina is a renowned Spanish brand specializing in contemporary handcrafted rugs. Founded in 1987 by Nani Marquina, the company has established itself as a leader in the design and production of high-quality rugs that blend traditional craftsmanship with modern aesthetics.

Nani Marquina, the daughter of Rafael Marquina—an influential figure in Spanish industrial design—studied industrial design at the Escola Massana in Barcelona. After gaining experience in interior design, she recognized a gap in the market for contemporary rugs in Spain. In 1987, she launched her eponymous brand with the vision of creating visually stunning rugs that would captivate people’s senses. 

The brand’s philosophy centers on innovation, observation, and enthusiasm, aiming to use traditional techniques to create contemporary pieces. In 1993, Nanimarquina expanded its operations by moving manufacturing to northern India, embracing the rich cultural heritage and craftsmanship of the region.
